We are receiving a larger than suual number of reports of problems viewing our Bob Haircut collection.

With very few exceptions, folks having the problem(s) haven't been very helpful with solving it. But consistantly the prime symptom is "cilcking on buttons doesn't do anything."

So far in my efforts to find the problem, the only way I can reproduce it is by turning off JavaScript support. That, predictably, can reproduce this problem in ANY browser. Still, of the few who do try to help out, some say their JavaScript is turned on. There also seems to be some corrolation between the problems and the use of Macintosh Internet Explorer.

I'll withhold my personal commentary on Macintosh. However, I know for a fact that Internet Explorer violates RFC definitions, industry standards, and as a result of MicroSoft throwing its weight around, is the source of unending volumes of problems for web site developers and users.

To make a long story short (too late), in the near future we'll be reluctantly changing some of our pages (e.g. the control bar at the top and the criteria panel at the left) in an attempt to pinpoint what the problem is. If it's really just a JavaScript-not-enabled problem, perhaps this will save folks time reporting a 'problem' that doesn't exist. However, if that's not the problem, at least we'll finally know that for sure.

My general advice, as always, is for everyone to stop using Internet Explorer. MicroSoft continues to work AGAINST industry standards, causing problems, creating massive security risks, and wasting everyones' time.
