| I think user registration is a good idea. Go for it!
Any plans about changing the font? I still find it hard to read and it appears different on different PCs. At work is 'Matisse', which is sort of readable, at home is 'Blackadder' and this one is impossible if someone writes using only capitals! Which one is supposed to be anyway? |

| I'm using two fonts, one is "font-family:ariel" and one is "font-family:fantasy" (whatever that is). All I know is that on my computer, the current font combination is the only one I can read that fits in the window. Also, there seem to be a very small number of fonts to choose from which are vaguely similar from computer to computer. Someone's always going to lose on this deal.
On the registration thingy, I spent all day yesterday putting the basic registration skeleton together. It's working nicely so far. Unfortunately, this morning at 0630 there was a fire in a hole at a construction dig two block from my house. As a result both our voice land lines are totally non-functional, and our DSL is intermittant at best. So my ability to work on the web site may be limited today. Grr! |

| I've started work on a user registration system. I don't want it to be restrictive, but there are some things it would be very useful for.
We're not planning on requiring anyone pay for anything. That's not what this site is about. On that note, however...some churches 'expect' 10% of your gross wages as a tithing. Hmm... ;) Ed doesn't care much for the ratings and voting idea, but since they don't really interfere with anything (except my time, which is my choice), I'm still planning on doing it. I still have some design to do on it. And changing the UI means changing help files, too. Ohwell. |
